이룸어학원에서 12주의 어학연수 + 8주 연장, 20주간의 후기

Hello. I’m korean. my name is hyeonjung kim. I’ve been studying in eroom for 5 months. 

Before when I came here, I had fear of speaking English. So my purpose to come here was just breaking fear of speaking English

At first, I could make a lot of foreigner friends 

when I got along with them, I became into English.

The more I talked to them, the more I wanted to become better at English.

At first, I had a hard time of speaking and listening when I talked someone. 

so When I encountered a word I didn't know during a conversation, I asked about it, saved it on my phone, and copied it into my vocabulary to memorize the word.

After I overcame my fear of speaking English, I realized that I was lacking in grammar. Then, pronunciation. As I slowly became aware of my weaknesses, I learned where to focus my studies.

It was helpful to have level tests every month and to have teachers give me feedback as I studied.

and It was my motivation

On weekends and holiday I would travel and visit various coffee shops in Bacolod.

Although I was tired from studying on weekdays, I was able to have fun during the weekend to freshen up my head and gain energy to study again.

It was also interesting to travel and experience Philippine culture and see the lives of the people.

Here are vietnamese, Japanese, taiwanese, chinese students.

I have always been interested in the cultures of other countries.

It was fun living together, talking with them, and discussing cultural differences with them.

In doing so, we learned to respect each other‘s lives despite differences.

Also, I had a timid and cautious personality in Korea.

After coming here, I met many friends from various countries, had a great time, and my personality brightened a lot.

Since there are no honorifics in English, I was surprised to learn that everyone can be best friends regardless of age.

So, I was happy to meet new people and wanted to talk with them.

I was able to learn about things I had never experienced or thought about by talking with them.

I was grateful to be able to meet many friends and study in such a free environment.

Eroom’s teachers are very kind

They waited patiently and taught me kindly even when my English was not good

They listened to my stories and sincerely supported my challenges, sometimes like close friends and sometimes like parents.

This academy has activities once a month.

We go to tourist attractions, have Halloween parties, Christmas parties, role plays, debates, sports competitions.

So, instead of just studying at the academy, there is a great opportunity to go sightseeing and enjoy English more through activities.

I was able to study happily without stress during the 5 months I stayed here.
